We provide ESDM therapy for children ages 18 months to 5 years old.
ESDM is a play-based, relationship-centered therapy designed for young children with autism. We embed learning into fun activities and daily routines. ESDM focuses on connection, play, language, social skills, and developmental milestones, not compliance drills. We use naturalistic, child-led teaching in a warm, supportive way.
Many factors play a role in recommended treatment hours, as each child is different. However, we typically recommend lower, developmentally appropriate hours, not the intensive 30-40 hour models that many clinics use.
The Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) is an evidence-based, comprehensive therapy for young children with autism, focusing on promoting language, cognitive, and social skills. Being able to understand the developmental progression of a young child allows me to teach a parent how to embed skill building into daily routines. Young children learn best through play!
We are set apart from all clinics in the Fox Valley because all therapy is delivered directly by a Master's-level BCBA, not technicians or RBTs. We also have a Certified ESDM Therapist on staff.
Yes, ForwardHealth requires an ASD diagnosis to authorize behavioral treatment services. We are currently credentialed with Wisconsin ForwardHealth.
Balanced Behaviors is a provider through the CLTS program. Families enrolled in CLTS could be eligible to receive Parent Training/Support at no cost to them. These sessions are between the parent/caregiver and a BCBA. During these sessions, parents receive training from a BCBA to better understand behavior, communication, daily routines, and other key parenting strategies.
For ESDM and ABA therapy, we serve the Fox Valley and surrounding areas.
